MISSION
Artsac’s mission is simple. Get necessary school supplies as well as art materials to a remote and rarely visited elementary school that resides outside the city of Kandahar, Afghanistan. We can do that.
Visual art is an integral part of a child’s education and painting and drawing are some of its most expressive and therapeutic forms. This is especially true for children whose country has gone through years of upheaval and is still struggling to regain its legs. Artsac reaches out to one group of southern Afghan elementary school children grades one through four - all 2,436 of them! Occasionally, we get lucky and collect enough to materials for grade five.
